Resene Making an Entrance Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Making an Entrance competition (the “Competition”) is run by Stuff Limited (“Stuff” or “Promoter”) under the following participating masthead; NZ House & Garden in conjunction with Resene Paints NZ Ltd.

2. Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

3. ELIGIBILITY: Employees of Stuff and its related companies and their immediate families, and employees and contractors of Resene Paints and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter. An entrant who has won a prize in this year’s Competition already is not eligible to win another in the Competition. Entrants must be New Zealand residents and 18 years or over.

4. DATES: The Competition commences on Thursday, June 19, 2025 and closes on Sunday 21 September, 2025 at 11:59pm (“Competition Period”). Qualifying winners will be notified and arrangements made to the winning entries for publication in NZ House & Garden. 

5. COMPETITION ENTRY: For the duration of the Competition Period entrants can enter the Competition by visiting the URL link on promotion ads.The entry form allows multiple photographs to be uploaded but these must all be of the same entrance. Stuff reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject entries in which it considers software to have been used to generate multiple entries and/or any entry Stuff considers to be fraudulent in any other way. 

6. Resene Paints and/or wallpaper must have been used on the entrance project and these must be clearly identified on the entry form.

7. PHOTOGRAPH OWNERSHIP: Each image submitted must be the original work of the entrant who must also be its copyright owner. Photographs must not violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright. Photos must not contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content.

8. If you are not the owner or occupier of the home with this entrance, you must have the owner’s or occupier’s permission to enter. 

9. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified via email and phone using the details provided. 

10. PRIZE WINNERS: There will be 5 winners, all of which will be photographed for magazine publication. Photographs of the winning entrances may also be posted on the NZ House & Garden Instagram account. The homeowner will NOT be required to appear in photographs taken by the magazine or its representatives.

11. PRIZE POOL: Each winner will receive a $500 Resene ColorShop voucher to spend on their choice of Resene quality paints, wood stains, primers/sealers or decorating accessories at Resene ColorShops. The winner will also receive the latest Resene fashion colour fandeck and advice from a Resene Colour Expert to guide them through their next colour scheme project.

 

12. All draws will be made at the Stuff offices at 4 Williamson Avenue, Grey Lynn, Auckland.

13. PRIZE DELIVERY: The prizes will be sent by Resene Paints Ltd.

14. NO CORRESPONDENCE: Stuff’s decision regarding the Winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

15. NOT REDEEMABLE: The prize is not transferable, exchangeable nor redeemable for cash or other model and may differ from that pictured in promotional materials. 

16. INFORMATION: By entering the Competition, winners agree to their names being published by Stuff for the purpose of announcing the winners.

17. OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES: Competition entries become the property of Stuff, which will keep the personal information it holds about entrants confidential and will not disclose it to third parties. 

18. DATABASE: By submitting the entry form, entrants to the Competition permit Stuff to enter their personal information into a database for the purpose of contacting them directly via email or phone about any Stuff publications or other promotions. 

19. PRIVACY: Pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993, entrants have the right to access and correct any personal information. Winners will have the following details made public when winners are announced: First name, initial of last name and town/city. 

20. NO LIABILITY: None of the participating mastheads, Stuff or Resene (or any other company or individual associated with the Competition) shall be responsible for or liable in any way (including, without limitation in negligence) in respect of: (i) any additional costs to the winners associated with the prizes, including any tax implications that may arise as a result of winning; or (ii) any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever that is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) in connection with the Competition except any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

21. Stuff assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or any delayed entries. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the competition database, not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
